Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff or beef Stroganov is a Russian dish of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce with smetana. From its origins in mid-19th-century Russia, it has become popular around the world, with considerable variation from the original recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 Lb. ground beef or round steak
- 1 Medium onion chopped
- 1/2 Cup butter
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon pepper
- 1 Teaspoon garlic salt or 1 clove garlic
- 1 Can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 Box fresh mushrooms or 1- 8 oz. can
- 1 Cup sour cream
- 2 Cups hot cooked noodles
- Parsley fresh
Instructions
- Cook meat and onion in butter.
- Stir in flour, salt, garlic, pepper, mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in soup and cook, uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream. Heat. Serve over noodles.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
